Entry Night for all Major Shows and Cooke County Junior Livestock Show and ALL projects - Aanimal, Ag Mech, Archery, Horticulture, FCS - if it is offered, October 27, 2026 is the night to come sign up. Check the individual show's website for all the requirements for their particular show to be familiar with all the rules.

Campus Safety Update
We wanted to make our families aware that emergency medical services are currently on route to campus to assist a community member as part of today's blood drive.
All students and staff are safe. We simply wanted to communicate this in case you notice emergency vehicles at the school during dismissal.

It was a muddy, rainy mess at the Reunion Run on Saturday, but our Hornets persevered through the conditions and kept pushing to the finish!
Walker Boyet led the way for our varsity boys team. Samantha Stevens was our top runner for the varsity girls. We had a couple of season records by Jude Clark & Leland Williams.
For junior high, Emily Clinton led the way and earned a 14th-place TOP 15 medal in the girls division. Granger Hearell led our boys team.
And just like that… PRESEASON IS OVER and DISTRICT IS HERE!

Our WATCH D.O.G.S. are officially on duty!
We are so excited to kick off WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) and welcome more dads and positive male role models onto our campus!
WATCH D.O.G.S. is a program designed to give fathers, grandfathers, stepdads, uncles, and other important male role models an opportunity to be actively involved in their students’ school. Our WATCH D.O.G.S. spend a day on campus being a positive presence for all of our Hornets—greeting students in the morning, visiting classrooms, helping around campus, joining students at lunch and recess, and lending a hand wherever they are needed.
Most importantly, our students get to see men in our community showing them that school matters and they matter.
And dads...we still have plenty of days to fill! If you haven't signed up for your WATCH D.O.G.S. day yet, pick a date and come spend the day with us. Your student will be SO proud to have you at their school for the day, and we have a feeling it will be a pretty special day for you, too!

🐝✨ Our First Ever Hornet Hype Assembly! ✨🐝
Today we kicked off something new, and it was everything we hoped it would be! At the end of each six weeks, we will come together for a Hornet Hype Assembly to celebrate some pretty deserving students—and for our first one, we turned down the lights, turned up the music, and celebrated with a GLOW PARTY! The students danced, sang, cheered for their friends, and had the BEST time!
But the real reason we gathered was to celebrate our Hornets and all the great things happening across our campus. 💛
⭐ We recognized an Everyday Excellence recipient from each class—those students we can always count on to do the right thing, make good choices, and lead by example.
💪 Our character trait this grading period was Courage, and we celebrated a boy and girl from each class who demonstrated courage throughout the six weeks.
📚 We celebrated our readers who have already reached 10, 25, and 50 AR points, including our current top reader with an incredible 58.5 points!
🏆 We recognized our Student of the Month, who was also honored at our School Board meeting.
📅 We had a drawing to celebrate students with perfect attendance.
🎶 And Mr. Darby presented Motivated Musician Awards to one girl and one boy from each grade level!
One of our favorite parts was watching the students cheer just as loudly for their classmates as they did when their own names were called. That is what Hornet Hype is all about—working hard, making great choices, celebrating growth, and cheering each other on along the way.
Our first one set the bar pretty high...we already can't wait to see what the next six weeks gives us to celebrate!
