The Era High School Cross Country teams kicked off the season today at the Nocona Relay Meet at Indian Hills Golf Course! The course featured several challenging hills that tested our runners both mentally and physically. It was a great early-season opportunity to see where we are and what we need to improve on moving forward.
Girls Results: Our top Lady Hornets team was Samantha Stevens and Emory Hearell, finishing 13th our of 38 teams. Also competing for the Lady Hornets today were Kallie Kennemer and Ericka Hitt
Boys Results: Our top Hornets team was Walker Boyet and Ulysess LaFuente, finishing 10th out of 38 teams. Also competing for the Hornets: Brady Boyd, Kaydon Bucholtz, Cooper Browning, Grayden Rainey, Jude Clark, Conner Williams, Leland Williams
Great job to all of our runners! Looking forward to an awesome season!
Our next meet will be at Boyd High School next Friday, starting with the varsity boys at 7am.
Come pack the gym tomorrow for the first home game for our Volleyball program! We were able to add a JV game for tomorrow's slate in an effort to showcase the entire program. Go Hornets!

Boil Water Notice Update
Era ISD is aware of the Boil Water Notice currently in effect for the Era Water Supply Corporation. We are making the necessary preparations to ensure the safety and well-being of our students should the notice remain in effect when school begins tomorrow.
Bottled water will be available for students to safely drink throughout the school day and to refill water bottles as needed. Families are also welcome to send additional bottled water with their students.
Our cafeteria staff are aware of the notice, and all meals will be prepared and served in accordance with appropriate safety procedures.
We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates to families as additional information becomes available.
Era ISD Sports Week at a Glance
Trenton is running behind due to traffic. We will adjust start time of the scrimmage to 5:15 starting with JV. Varsity will scrimmage immediately after. Thanks for understanding.

We're excited to launch the WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) program at our elementary this year!
WATCH D.O.G.S. is a nationally recognized family engagement program that encourages fathers, grandfathers, uncles, stepfathers, and other positive male role models to spend a day volunteering on campus. Volunteers help welcome students, assist in classrooms, support recess and lunch, and most importantly, provide students with positive male role models while helping create an even safer school environment.
Come learn more about the program, ask questions, and sign up for a day to volunteer during the school year.
We can't wait to see everyone on August 26th and kick off another amazing year together! 💛🐝

Each presentation will be offered in repeating 20-minute sessions throughout the evening, allowing families with multiple children the opportunity to visit each of their students' classrooms while also attending the campus overview session.
