At the September 21, 2026, board meeting, the Era ISD Board of Trustees approved the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for the new gym project in the amount of $2,465,000.

This amount includes the entire current scope of the project, including:

• Wood competition-level flooring

• HVAC system

• Folding bleachers with seating for approximately 200 spectators

• Six basketball goals

• Several additional finish-out items

We hope to begin construction within the first three weeks of October. The average completion time for a project of this type is approximately 12–14 months, depending on weather and any unforeseen circumstances.

Once we have confirmed dates and a detailed project timeline, we will share that information with the community.

Our drone class will also conduct periodic flyovers of the construction site. These updates will be posted on the district website so everyone can follow the progress of the project throughout construction.
