Wilson Level I Certified
Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) in training
I am so excited to be teaching in the dyslexia classroom this year. I have been teaching for twelve years and this is my second year in Era! I taught the Wilson Reading System in the dyslexia classroom, as a life skills teacher, in the resource classroom, and kindergarten. I am a Dyslexia Practitioner with the Wilson program and am currently in training to be a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) with the Take Flight program. I have a passion to serve those with dyslexia!
My family and I moved to Era in the summer of 2023. We spent two years in the Kwajalein Atoll, Republic of the Marshall Islands. My husband, Coach Neighbors, and I taught school on an American military garrison. Our family enjoyed swimming with sharks, turtles, tropical fish, octopus, eagle rays, and starfish on a daily basis! Our family had a ball! Kwaj is located on the equator, so we had 85 degree weather 365 days a year. A fun fact about the tiny island we lived on is that there are no personal vehicles, so everyone bikes! Look up Kwajalein; it has a fascinating history!
