Curtis Eldridge

Curtis Eldridge is a 30+ year veteran of education who retired as the Superintendent of Saint Jo
ISD in 2022. Most recently, Mr. Eldridge served as the Interim Superintendent at Muenster ISD.
Since retirement, Mr. Eldridge teamed with E3, Entegral Solutions, as a Consultant statewide to
school, hospital and city/county facility improvement projects regarding everything energy such
as HVACs, lighting and automated controls.
While serving as the Superintendent at Saint Jo ISD, Curtis Eldridge led the rebranding of the
district, passed and completed a district-wide school bond project, fostered a 27% increase in
student in enrollment, started full day PreK and the early education 3K program, accomplished
100% teacher retention, and expanded the college readiness program.
 
Eldridge’s career in education began in the summer of 1993 as a football coach and teacher
following graduation from SMU where he played football for the late NFL Hall of Famer,
Forrest Gregg. SMU is also where he met his wife of 30 years, Vicki Walterscheid Eldridge. The
highlight of Eldridge’s coaching career was at Marcus High School in Flower Mound where he
coached on the varsity football staff when they finished as 1995 5A State Finalists and 1997 5A
State Champions.


In 2003, Eldridge entered Administration as an Assistant Principal at Flower Mound High
School. Shortly thereafter, the family moved to Vicki’s hometown, Muenster, where he served as
Principal for several years and where they raised their daughter Morgan(25) and son
Major(22).  Vicki is the District Librarian at Muenster ISD and serves as the Library Coordinator
for Forestburg and Montague ISD. Following the Principalship at Muenster, Curtis ventured to
the Regional Education Service Center XI as a Trainer of School Boards and Principals. In 2008,
Eldridge came onboard at Saint Jo as the High School Principal for 5 years before moving to the
Superintendent position at Montague ISD. Eldridge returned to Saint Jo ISD as the
Superintendent in 2016. 
 
Curtis Eldridge has served as the 1A representative on the University Interscholastic League
(UIL) Waiver Board, TASA Texas Education Commissioner's Cabinet, and the ESC Region 9
Advisory Team, Chairman of the ESC 9 Red River Texas Association of Secondary
Administrators and currently serves on the NCTC Foundation.
